Default If G15 Macros are legal w/ A-NET

then program a button to repeatedly press 8 with a 0.001 delay or 0.0125 delay between press and continue this while the key is held down.

Guess why?

Actually, been doing that for a while. Sadly, I don't understand the scripting language, so I either us G6 as 8 with toggle, or use it to run a macro 8888888888888888888888888888888888. Neither of those is perfect - lost my survivor a few days ago. Pressing the G key causes the action to pause until all the 8s have been processed, or the toggle is lifted. Get it wrong and you're dead :/

Any one got a script for press 8, wait 0.025, release 8, repeat while held?

I found that adding too short of a delay causes problem. What seems to work is a delay about 0.300 or was it 0.030 seconds long.

Sorry, not in front of my desktop/game computer.

I test it out by press Enter to activate the chat windows and press the macro to see if it repeatedly display 8 with no pause.

All of which requires human interaction to do it all as well as the manually getting rewards/ zoning.
You need to use the mousemove event and find the x-y co-ordinates for the position you want to flag your hero. I set one up earlier to flag all the hero/hench locations with one key press. Saves a bit of time and i still need to be there to run into the zone etc so don't see whats wrong with it.....

Spoken to them directly and thought i'd share what they said, even though i know this might influence their actions in the future i'd rather see this cleared up with a (hopefully good) solution than being ignored.

Hey.
I've read up on macros and spoken to players i know through guild wars about using macros. There is grey zone and as I dont want second hand information I'd like to know two things:

1. I've now bound /resign /dance to buttons on my KB. - I will asume these simple macros are okey (?).

2. I however want to bind a macro that clicks the alcohol I've bought after farming DoA for more then a few hours. Sitting at a computer clicking twice, waiting 3 minutes, clicking again isn't really something I've found to be a valueable experience.
So, is a macro on a Keyboard or a mouse allowed for this specific use, the use to doubleclick every three minutes on alcohol?

IF not when will you likely ad an option to automatically use alchol within the game? ex: Clicking and holding a stack of alcohol for 10 seconds will start the use, same will end it.

Hello,

You asked if using a macro was acceptable for use in Guild Wars gameplay. "What if.?" questions such as this are always tough to answer, because they have not happened yet. Nevertheless, I'll try to give you an understanding of what we might consider "right" and "wrong" when interacting with our service as it related to macros.

Using a keyboard and mouse as normal is certainly fine. They are the basic tools virtually required to operate a computer and use our service. Each time you press a key or click a button on your mouse, one character is typed or one action is made to happen and, in general, that is acceptable.

If you were somehow able to use a program to fully automate your gameplay experience, especially to the point where you did not have to attend your computer while your software "played" the game for you, then that would be considered against our User Agreement and subject to disciplinary action. ("You agree not to use any hardware or software, including but not limited to third party tools, or any other method of support which may in any way influence or advantage your use of the Service which is not authorized by NC Interactive, including but not limited to the use of `bots' and/or any other method by which the Service may be played automatically without human input.")

Somewhere in between those two scenarios is a grey area. We can't make any "final judgments" on any grey area actions that have not yet occurred, and we will not speculate on all possible grey area scenarios and their outcomes. In general, please make sure that you are at your computer and playing your game. Ultimately, it is of utmost important to us that each character being played in Guild Wars is being operated by an actual person.

I know this doesn't provide a definitive rule that covers all possible scenarios, but I still hope this helps your understanding of "helping you play" versus "playing for you" and what we would consider acceptable.

I've read that exact reply on a forum, (as second hand info) i take it
you do not want to give me a specific answer to how you treat people who
uses macro to do the drunken title? Could you atleast let me know how you so
far has done (until a change in policy/game occurs i mean).

I did also ask when a way to use alcohol without having to press it every 3
minutes will come, as stated below for an example just press the alcohol you
want to drink and itll keep using as you play the game.

Hello,

I understand you want a solid yes or not answer, however there is no yes or no answer that I can give you. As of yet, we have not taken action on accounts that use rapid fire macros, but it doesn't mean we won't in the future. Any type of macro or third-party program that gives you an unfair advantage is not allowed by Guild Wars. Basically, if it's a questionable action, you might not want to do it. You run the risk of losing your account permanently.

Right now you must click every 3 minutes to get the Drunken title. We don't know of any plans in the near future to change this. If you would like to let our Development Team know about your suggestion, I encourage you to consider posting your suggestions on the Guild Wars Wiki at: [LINK]

You can post feedback, bug reports and suggestions, and the information is reviewed frequently by our Development Team. More information about how to set up a Wiki account can be located at: [LINK]

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Not sure if this goes here...but I have a couple questions

1. I've heard something about "key binding" hero skills to a keyboard button to force spikes(like with discord). Is that a G15 macro or something totally different?
2. Is something like that against the eula?

It's fine - until somebody in ANet decides to interpret it otherwise (j/k - it's fine!)

In GW, you set up keys to use the particular hero skill - e.g. map keypad1 to "hero 1 skill 1", keypad2 to "hero2 skill 1" and keypad3 to "hero3 skill 1".

Then it's simply a matter of recording a macro of keypad1 keypad2 keypad3 - spike!

Yes, you're still playing the game, you're just avoiding having to use the keyboard as a piano when mapping multiple keystrokes to a single button.

Look in options while in game, I think it's in something like interface. There you can assign lots of things like hero skills to specific keys.
